James Bond 007 Casino Royal Speed Painting by Stephen Quick. Hi All, last in the bond series for the minute, this time one of my fav's Casino Royal.....the first film in which Daniel Craig took the part of 007 James Bond..... its a damm good film. The painting is based on some promo pictures from the film in dark moody style to suit the film's tone. Yup i hate the Casino song so its got Quantum of Solaces music by jack White as its a bloody great song. Okat the painting is on cotton canvas, 30" x 20" in acrylic painting, it took about 3 hours to painting and the video is speeded up about 2500%............ umm what else?.. oh for the 100000000000000 times yes the painting is sketched on the canvas first!!!! I did this canvas for a friend and this one took me a longer to complete, I was having a lot of creative blocks and didn't know what to do, I started the two silhouettes then the canvas sat on my wall for a couple months because I didn't know how to go about tackling the rest of the negative space. There are a few analogies in this piece that you would have to have seen the movie to get such as the chair, blood splatter and drip from the graffiti etc. Didn't quite turn out how I expected but I am happy with the result and YES THAT IS A SIX SHOOTER.
